What is RoHS?
The Directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment 2002/95/EC (commonly referred to as the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive or RoHS) was adopted in February 2003 by the Europenan Union. The RoHS directive took effect on 1 July 2006, and is required to be enforced and become law in each member state.
This directive restricts the use of six hazardous materials in the manufacture of various types of electronic and electrical equipment. It is closely linked with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment directive (WEEE) 2002/96/EC which sets collection, recycling and recovery targets for electrical goods and is part of a legislative initiative to solve the problem of huge amounts of toxic e-waste.
There are three principles in HSE Management.
To begin with, HSE Management should be reliable to every stakeholder because it is the promise with our invaluable customers and indispensable partners. Secondly, HSE Management has to be done by every partner including all executives because it is the duty Loypos should carry out.
Thirdly, HSE Management must be inspected and updated by HSE Committee regularly so as to be in perfect harmony with fast-shifting global circumstances. Loypos has performed this kind of management and now we are scheduled to put HSE Management into action with this manual.
HSE Management is introduced in order to
Prevent accidents,
Minimize losses,
Get rid of damages,
Give you trust.
HSE Management of Loypos is an integral system, which allows us to be global company and furthermore this enables us to do business with our indispensable customers under the umbrella called “Trust” effectively and efficiently. As we are all aware, we have to focus on coexistence of human being and environment in order for mankind to flourish continuously.
Because of these reasons, Loypos decided to roll HSE Management out and we believe that it will play an important role in protecting both environment and us simultaneously.
HSE Management shall be established by HSE committee including HSE director and all partners in Loypos in the beginning of this year and the plan the committee projected will be valid until the end of this year or it would be changed by HSE committee, if Loypos should meet the situation of the circumstances around the world.
On the other hand, it would be terminated by HSE committee, if the project has a negative effect on human being or environment. Also, a series of HSE Management activities will be supported by all partners including executives and the president from Loypos and furthermore all stakeholders could communicate each other ceaselessly based on this manual.
If the proposal is accepted by HSE committee, the HSE plan is communicated with each part of HSE Management and the plan will be posted at our plant and office at the same time.
Additionally, materials such as Video, presentation, documents, and so on will be used to support each relevant part of HSE Management and also alerts or cautions are informed to all relevant parts in order to encourage all stakeholders to understand. What is more, Loypos will consider these alerts or cautions as our top priority and we will take a measure very fast, but correctly. On the other hand, in case of technical matters, Loypos will educate each appropriate stakeholder and share information in order to help everyone to know.
Finally, Loypos will notify everyone including customers of accidents, investigations, statistics, financial status, and new technique including system or equipment because all stakeholders have the right to know about them.
Loypos has to make a report so as to
Make a proposal effectively,
Perform HSE Management in a positive way,
Check all activities closely,
Control all issues perfectly.
There are three different levels of HSE report in HSE committee.
First, functional level report, it includes
Accident Report / Accident Analysis Report / Minutes for meetings Report
